Hertz Equipment Rental donates to playground
To fuel the work party for the upcoming Rotary Adventure Playground at Freedom Park work party, Hertz Equipment Rental will provide more than $5,000 in tools and equipment May 19 – 23.
“This is a massive effort and we are depending on the community to make it come together in a handful of days,” said project manager Greg Gilday.
“The support from Hertz Equipment Rental will make a huge difference in the ability of hundreds of volunteers to make the build a success,” Gilday said.
The Rotary Adventure Playground is a community effort. Through donations of time, talent, materials and cash, the Stanwood Camano community has raised more than $140,000 toward the cost of $200,000 and more than 400 volunteers have offered to help build the playground at the intensive fiveday work party.
To make the magic of dreams become reality, the work party needs all the necessary components and volunteers to come together, Gilday said.
An extensive list of components and opportunities for individuals and businesses is available online at www. iHeartParks.org. Donations can be made on behalf of the project to the Stanwood Camano Area Foundation.
