Art shows at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
Art at the Schoolhouse
For the third year, the Stanwood Camano Arts Guild is showcasing the works of more than 20 artists on the tulip route of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, at Christianson’s Nursery, in the 1888 Meadow Schoolhouse on Best Road open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily April 3 through May 2.
Twelve new artists include Lara and Marc Knowles, glass work; Roy Johnson, rustic iron garden art; Ron Hinshaw, outdoor metal sculpture; Sheila Saxon, felted purses; Carl Jaegel, photography; Lee Beitz, glass; oil painters Galina Yasinskaya Doder and Sue Swapp and watercolor artists Sylvia Domoto, Bobbye Miller and Joan Penewell.
Fourteen returning artists include photographers Kent and Roberta Baker, and Josephine Heitzman; Rocky Barrick, wildlife and more in acrylics and pencil; Candi Martin Baker, painter; Dorothy Faydo and Karen Rust, fused glass jewelry; Beverly Reaume, stained glass; oils on canvas by Mary Ann Hinshaw, and watercolor artists Ann Curtis, Anne Daletski, Daryl Deitz, Saundra Knapp and Maggie Miller.

Pleasant Ridge Gallery at Rexville Grange
Fine art in many media is featured in Pleasant Ridge Gallery at Rexville Grange April 2-18, during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, with artist demonstrations throughout the show and an opening night party 5-8 p.m. April 2 to meet the artists, including show organizers Marguerite Goff, of Stanwood, Beth Hailey of La Conner, and Janet Hamilton, of Everett. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 1929 Rexville Grange Road in Mount Vernon. Art in the Pickle Barn
Presented by Skagit Art Association, the 21st annual Art in the Pickle Barn, is at the Cascade Mall, between I-5 and Burlington Boulevard, April 1-25, open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Art Bash
Presented by Art League Northwest, Art Bash shows oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, photography and more at the Farmhouse Restaurant this year, April 1-29, at SR20 and the La Conner Whitney Road. An opening reception is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 2.
