Engaged
 Laurie and Denny Linn of Stanwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Marie Linn, to Kevin James Floyd, son of Shirley and Larry Floyd of Grandview, Wash. The bride-elect, a graduate of Lakewood High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education, with emphasis in physical therapy and athletic training, from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. She is currently pursuing a doctorate of physical therapy degree at the University of Washington. The groom-elect is a graduate of Sunnyside Christian School in Sunnyside, Wash., and will graduate from PLU in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business administration with emphasis in finance. A summer 2011 wedding is planned.
