Music at the Muse

An extensive line-up of live music at the Muse begins April 3 with Jim Page, accompanied by Michael Gray on violin and Grant Dermody on harmonica on April 9, Marvin J and some friends offer some swing, rock and blues for dancing; blues, folk-rock roots music by The Hamer Brothers for dancing in the Black Box on April 10; on April 16, The Phil Nakano Connection plays jazz, funk and blues; On April 17, Baby Gramps; April 23 and 24, Rivertalk; May 1. Every Wednesday is open mic night, starting 6 p.m. The Muse is located on the Skagit River at the west end of downtown Conway.

KBRC presents Rock Around the Skagit Dance Party, featuring The Boomer Band, 7 p.m. – midnight Friday, April 9; The Manhattans R&B, vocals, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 16; KMPS presents Country Night with Jonathon Harris, 7 p.m. – midnight, and dance lessons with Kim Hargrove of Happy Valley Dance 7-8 pm on Saturday, April 24. Icelandic Fantasies

In its Nordic concert series, the Nordic Heritage Museum’s “Icelandic Fantasies” features an international award-winning guitarist from Iceland, Ögmundur Thor Johannesson, and Michael Partington, a Britishborn international guitarist, starting 4 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at 3014 NW 67th St. in Seattle. Paradise Lost

Intiman Theatre’s 2010 is Kate Whoriskey’s first season as artistic director and it’s designed to showcase her priorities, including a commitment to exciting early career artists, new works, and collaborations that cross artistic disciplines.
