GARY ROGER LUNZ
MArCH 16, 1952 – MArCH 14, 2010
Gary Roger Lunz, born March 16, 1952, died peacefully at home on Camano Island March 14, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Ballard, Gary lived in the Puget Sound area his whole life. He married Debbi Thomas in Seattle on June 7, 1975, and when they settled on Camano Island in 1995 they knew they had truly found home.
Gary was full of unbridled enthusiasm. He loved being out on their boat crabbing and fishing.
Gary worked as an aerospace mechanic, but was an entrepreneur and inventor at heart. Every new invention or great idea was shared with enthusiasm and tirelessly pursued. Gary’s friendships were lasting and unconditional.
His family will miss his boundless energy and love of life.
Gary is survived by his wife of 34 years Debbi, his mother Janice Lunz, brother Greg Lunz (Sharon), and many beloved in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Ewald Lunz and sister Nancy Lunz.
At Gary’s wish, there will not be a memorial service.
