Shaughnessy heads girls’ basketball award winners

The lone senior on an underclassmen-laden team, Kallen Shaughnessy accepted the only three-year letter award given out by head coach of the girls’ basketball team, Dennis Kloke at their recent season-end banquet.
Shaughnessy also served with junior Sarah Titus as team captain for the 2009- 2010 hoops campaign.
Titus, for her part, is a two-year letter winner and was voted Most Inspirational Player.
Other recognition went to underclassmen Tarah Murphy (Best Teammate), Jade Borseth (Best Defender), Brenda Bingham (Best Rebounder) and Rachel Swartz (Most Improved).
Taking home their second emblems were sophomores Paisley Heckman, Renee Lucero, Bingham, Borseth and Murphy.
Earning their inaugural letters were Corinne Teichgrab, Emily Chappel, Serenna Duncan, Kaitlyn Johnson, Samantha Kelleigh and Swartz.
Madison Lund, Haley Haugstad, Emily Wayland, Natalie Bergstrom, Madeline Wiganosky, Kiki McDonald, Randi Howard, Marissa Norman, Sierra Huber, Ashley Bradshaw, Sara Schlagel, Abby Struiksma, Gabby Cardia, Jessica Hall, Keidi Guerra Saenz and Tessa Sevenich all received certificates of participation.
