Fire/EMS presents ‘cost of service’ analysis to council
Last Wednesday night, Peter Moy from FCS Group, a financial consulting firm hired to analyze the cost of providing fire and EMS services to the city of Stanwood, presented their findings to Stanwood City Council and fire commissioners.

DONALD LEROY SEVERSON
Donald LeRoy Severson, 96, of Camano Island, died peacefully in his sleep with never a sick day.
He was born December 31, 1913 in Seattle where he was raised. He lived on Camano Island for 34 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma, who died November 10, 2007. Full Story

FEB. 21, 1949 – FEB. 24, 2010
Camano Island resident Richard “Dick” Sturza, 61, died February 24, 2010, at Glenden Beach, Ore., from a massive coronary event.
Dick was born February 21, 1949, in Chehalis to Gus and Opal Sturza and spent his early years in Winlock. He graduated from Washington State University in 1971 and always enjoyed returning to WSU for football games. Full Story
SIV MYHRE
Our mom, Siv Myhre, went to Heaven on February 24, 2010, after a long, sad battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born Siv Margot Didriksson, the youngest of five children, to Per and Ingaborg in the northern province of Jamptland, Sweden. Full Story
