HAROLD ALLEN MORRILL

MAY 7, 1921 – FEB. 2, 2010

Harold Allen Morrill, 88, of Stanwood, passed away February 2, 2010 in Mount Vernon.

He was born to Arthur and Florilla Morrill May 7, 1921 in Little Falls, Minn. Harold graduated from high school in Forest Grove, Ore., and went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart.

His main career was as a transmitter engineer retiring from KVOS-TV.

Harold’s many interests included Marysville Mini Makers, Quilceda Carvers, Bingo calling, being a locksmith, music, a love for trains and helping his daughter with her 4-H projects.

He was a kind, gentle, honest family man. Everybody loved him.

Preceding Harold in death were his siblings, Cecile Eckert, Chet Morrill, Stan Morrill, Don Morrill and Francis Morrill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy Morrill, of Stanwood, and daughter Laure (Darrell) French of Granite Falls.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, 1:30 p.m. at the Beachwood Lounge in the Warm Beach Senior Center, 20420 Marine Drive, Stanwood.
