Community scholarship deadline is March 12
Any student who lives in the Stanwood-Camano School District, including home-schooled students and those who attend private schools outside of the area, are eligible for scholarships offered by the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (SCAF), which is supported by many community service organizations, businesses and local families.
They offer more than 100 community scholarships to the class of 2010 and the application process is easier than ever this year.
All local scholarship application forms are listed on a central community scholarship Web site at www.sccs. org.
Some restrictions may apply to certain scholarships. For information, contact the foundation next door to the Uff Da Shoppe 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesdays – Thursdays, call 629-6878 or e-mail to info@s-ccs. org.
Stanwood High School students can also get help from the school counseling office or from SCAF’s student representative, Jessica Butler.
