I would like to thank my friends for showing their love and support in my time of sorrow in losing my husband of 63 years.
I have never met so many caring and wonderful people as in this community on the island. It was unbelievable.

First, I am not commenting on whether the purchase is a toy or a needed item.
That question is secondary.
At one of the community meetings before the election last fall, we heard that marine rescue is part of the sheriff’s department charter. There is a boat on a trailer in the parking lot at the sheriff’s office. Full Story

On February 1, I attended the annual meeting of the Kayak Landing homeowners association.
At the meeting we were informed by our board secretary that the association “is not a democracy” and that we do not live in a neighborhood, but that it’s a business. Full Story
