Plaque of honor
Pitch one for Arnold Lunnum
Dear Editor:
I wish to thank the city for placing a plaque in Arnold’s honor at the horseshoe pits.
He did start asking for the installation of horseshoe pits shortly after we moved to Stanwood. With help and encouragement from Noel Freedman, he kept up that campaign for three years. When it finally happened, many volunteers helped and donated all the materials.
Noel Freedman deserves the greater honor and thanks, as he did all the hard work of digging the pits.
The greatest honor to Arnold would be for people to enjoy the sport.
Please pitch one for Arnold.
