Preserve wildlife
Nature can be cruel
Dear Editor:
I could sense the concern of Lucy Blykowski in her reaction to seeing a wounded pheasant near Mark Clark Bridge. We do not know what happened to that pheasant, maybe a hunter or a car hit it, or did it fly into a power line or was it attacked by an eagle or a fox?
Nature can be cruel to our wildlife. Full Story

God bless Camano Island fire department and paramedics
Dear Editor:
Calling 911 for a recent medical emergency brought the EM aid car to our home almost before hanging up the receiver.
I cannot give enough thanks for the EM paramedics for their efficient, compassionate and calming help. They were so helpful in assuring me all the way to the hospital emergency in Everett, and staying with me until I was taken care of. Full Story
