Meditation
People today will die for liberty. They will die for freedom.
Not all people will be willing to die for liberty and freedom because many people today live in fear. Only 1 percent of the people living during the time of the American Revolution were actively involved in the fight for liberty and freedom against Great Britain. The others were willing to live with tyranny under the King of England, or enjoy the benefits of the new country. Either way, the large majority of the population living in what is now the United States of America, were not involved for the liberty and freedom they received and which we now currently enjoy.
What caused men and women to be willing to give up their wealth, families and lives to fight for liberty and freedom? It was their precious
faith!
People fled from England to come to what is now called America because of their faith. They were devout Christians. In 11 out of the 13 original colonies, if a person wanted to run for public office, they had to proclaim that Jesus Christ was their Lord and Savior. The Bible was used in the courtroom for morality, ethics and justice.
In these days of uncertainty, when our enemies, who are forming outside and within the United States of America, are threatening to destroy us; when our economy is in ruins and the future looks dim; turn to Jesus Christ. He alone can give you peace, security and eternal life.
Yes, Jesus Christ can give you strength as He promised in Hebrews 13:5 - “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (KJV) God bless you and may God bless the Republic of the United States of America; and, may all Americans live in freedom as the Constitution and Bill of Rights promises.
John 14:27 reads, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you;’ not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, either let it be afraid.” Amen!
