MARC ANDREW PEtERSON
OCt. 24, 1949 – JAN. 7, 2010
Marc Andrew Peterson passed away suddenly Thursday, January 7 at his home in Everett. Our family is grateful for the wonderful holidays we enjoyed together before this sudden shock.
Marc was a quiet and gentle soul who loved to watch sports of all kinds, and played a mean game of bingo. He was born in Seattle to Albert and Janice Peterson on October 24, 1949, their second child and first son.
He grew up in Edmonds, graduating in 1967 from Edmonds High School. He wanted to be a sports statistician, but took a detour, joining the Army in 1969 and serving his country in the Vietnam War.
In the years that followed, he was a sheet metal worker in Kent, then moved to Stanwood where he briefly worked at Twin City Foods. He then went to work on Camano Island at Onamac Industries as a machinist, a job for which his fascination with details was perfectly suited. He moved to Everett a few years after the company did.
Marc lived simply. He was a guy who thoroughly enjoyed the small moments in life, and didn’t spend his time accumulating material things.
He is survived by his mother, Janice McIntyre, his sisters Marlene Prickett and Margo Peterson, brother Marshall Peterson, as well as five nieces and a nephew.
A memorial gathering will be held Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. in Smokey Point, at Medallion Office Suites, 16710 Smokey Pt. Blvd, Suite 202.
