GEORgE TOMA

APRIL 4, 1934 – JAN. 18, 2010

George Toma of Camano Island, was born April 4, 1934 in Budapest, Hungary, and he passed away on January 18, 2010 after a brave and courageous fight with pancreatic cancer.

George was a machinist by trade and worked for Kinematic Marine Equipment, Inc. He loved his work and took pride in what he did.

George treasured the time he spent being around family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, especially his recent trip to Budapest.

He loved to joke around with everyone and always made you laugh. George was an avid gardener who enjoyed his gardens and was proud of the flowers he planted and tended to.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, the love of his life, Kathleen Toma. He also leaves behind his children of whom he was extremely proud: Michael Toma, Tracy Collinge (Carey), Darren Toma (Lara), Robin Toma; grandchildren, Ryan Samantha and Sarah Collinge, Taelore and Dalton Toma.

“Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone.

Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, for as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.”

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 31 at the Camano Island Stanwood Senior and Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the PAN CAN Network in honor of George http://pancan.org.
