Stick with Mark Clark Bridge
Dear Editor:
In regards to the letter suggesting the name of Mark Clark Bridge be changed to Mary Margaret Haugen, I disagree!
Calling Senator Haugen’s Work “phenomenal” is truly a matter of opinion.
Gen. Mark Clark was outstanding in his service to our country. It started with his position of Chief of Staff Army Ground Force in 1941, to being Commander in Chief UN Forces, Korea in 1952-53. He held many other important position in the years between.
We should leave the bridge as initially named, Gen. Mark Clark.
