Recently while driving into Stanwood, I saw a halfdead pheasant lying on the road just before I crossed the Mark Clark Bridge. One of the bird’s wings was still moving. Full Story

I wish to express my total delight and appreciation to Alan Stolee and Sheryl Thompson, co-owners of Country Mudd, Inc. bikini coffee stand, for their positive decision in changing from bikini to regular attire for their employees.
Stanwood was my home for nine years. All four of my sons graduated from Stanwood High. Stanwood stood for high morals. Full Story

In regards to the letter suggesting the name of Mark Clark Bridge be changed to Mary Margaret Haugen, I disagree!
Calling Senator Haugen’s Work “phenomenal” is truly a matter of opinion. Full Story
New name
Rename the bridge Cam-Wood
Dear Editor:
I question if tax dollars were to be spent on renaming the General Mark Clark Bridge, who would decide?
I love reading books on nurses in the military during wartime.
General Mark Clark’s name was mentioned a lot, for both good and bad decisions.
It was a time of war and I cannot and will not judge him. Full Story
