Giving back

When Graham Logen, a 2006 graduate of Stanwood High School, gave a bassoon concert at Stanwood Methodist Church earlier this month, he decided to go one step further. Since he had received $2,000 in scholarships through the Stanwood- Camano Community Scholarship (SCCAF) Foundation for his college education, he placed a jar to collect scholarship donations for another high school student and collected nearly $500. Theresa Metzger, executive director of SCAF, was impressed. “It means all the effort we’re putting into these kids comes back to this community,” she said.
