President’s blunders

Holes in national security need fixed

Dear Editor:

Recently on a talk show I heard once again Michelle Obama’s now famous preelection quote about how we have “holes in our souls” and only her husband Barack could fix these holes.

Nearly 30 years ago I had a hole in my soul but it took someone far greater than a slick Chicago politician to fix it.

There are other holes that some would say Barack Obama should concern himself with, for instance, the holes in 13 innocent people from Fort Hood, Texas.

Could that terrorist shooting spree be a direct result of the commander-in-chief’s liberal “diversity at all costs” policy in the military?

On Christmas, another Islamic jihadist came very close to blowing a big hole in an airliner with nearly 300 people on board.

Despite multiple red flags this terrorist waltzed onto the plane.

The Department of Homeland Security and TSA, both run directly by Obama appointees, somehow missed or ignored all the signs that a sixth grader could read.

I hope Mr. Obama fixes this hole in security before anyone I know flies again!

Has anyone in these agencies been publicly fired or reprimanded?

The one hole that can’t be fixed by anyone is the hole that Obama’s liberal, socialistic policies have made in the American spirit.

A quality once called “rugged individualism” that flourished for centuries in our free market system is being destroyed as we are marched down the well-marked path toward serfdom.
