Brant numbers strong enough for Skagit hunt
Brant goose numbers in Skagit County are high enough to allow an eightday hunt this month, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW).
Brant hunting is scheduled Jan. 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 27, 30 and 31 with a bag limit of two geese per day. Full Story
New Red Cross shelter named
With the stroke of a pen, St. Aidan Episcopal Church was named the newest Red Cross shelter on Camano Island. Located along SR532 on the north end of the island, St. Aidan Episcopal Church is the fifth Camano Island facility meeting National Red Cross standards as a shelter for people in case of disasters.
