Busted for tearing up field
Stanwood Police responded
to the following
calls recently:
• An 18-year-old Stanwood male and a 19-year-old Camano Island male were both booked into jail Jan. 1 for first-degree malicious mischief in the 7500 block of 267th Street NW. They were in a truck spinning circles in the school soccer fields and caused over $5,000 worth of damage.
• On Jan. 3, a vehicle was stolen from the 26000 block of 72nd Avenue NW and was later found submerged in the river near Marine Drive and Norman Road.
• On Jan. 4, four teenage boys entered a house in the 27300 block of Village Place NW while the owners were away. They consumed alcohol and stole several items. All four are being referred for burglary, theft and minor in possession and consumption of alcohol.
• A 30-year-old Stanwood man turned himself in to the police Jan. 4, knowing he had outstanding warrants.
• A 27-year-old Stanwood man was booked into jail Jan. 1 for domestic violence after a fight with his girlfriend in the 8400 block of Henning Drive.
• On Jan. 2, a 17-year-old Stanwood man was referred for driving with a suspended license in the 8700 block of 271st Street NW.
• A 21-year-old Stanwood male was referred Jan. 2 for supplying liquor to minors in the 27300 block of 104th Drive NW. At the same location, a 20-year-old male and two 16-year-old females are being referred for minors in possession and consumption of alcohol.
• A 38-year-old Camano Island man was referred Jan. 2 for driving with a suspended license, in the 7200 block of 265th Street NW.
• A 50-year-old transient male was booked into jail Jan. 3 for third degree theft, and making a false statement to police in the 26600 block of 72nd Avenue NW. There was already a warrant for his arrest.
• Two vehicles collided Jan. 4 in the 26800 block of SR 532 after one driver failed to yield the right of way.
• A vehicle was vandalized Jan. 4 while parked in the 26600 block of 72nd Avenue NW.
• A toolbox was stolen Jan. 4 from a vehicle parked in the 9200 block of 271st Street NW.
• Two vehicles collided Jan. 4 on Cedarhome Drive at Pioneer Highway, at a four-way stop. Each didn’t see the other in time.
• On Jan. 5, unknown suspects attempted to shoplift at a business in the 26600 block of 72nd Avenue NW.
• A vehicle was damaged by a hit and run driver Jan. 6 while parked in the 26900 block of 92nd Avenue NW.
• Two vehicles collided Jan. 6 in the 26700 block of Pioneer Highway when one driver was following too closely.
