Spencer named ‘Most Inspirational’ in training program
Firefighter Klifton Spencer of North County Regional Fire Authority, receives a “Most Inspirational” award from Washington State Fire Marshal Mike Matlick.
Firefighter Klifton Spencer, of North County Regional Fire Authority, was recently named “Most Inspirational” in the Washington State Fire Academy program. Spencer graduated from the state fire training academy recruit class 09-03 in November at the North Bend training facility. The program admits only 20 to 30 students three times a year for this intensive training program for firefighting and rescue. Spencer was the first firefighter from North County Fire/EMS to receive this award and he felt very honored.
“It was a privilege to receive this training so that I may return and better serve my community in their time of need,” he said.
North County Fire/ EMS has been sending trainees to the State Fire Academy since 2003 with a total over 20 members having completed the program.
“North County Fire/ EMS prides itself on having highly-trained personnel to provide the best level of service possible,” said Battalion Chief Greg Osborne.
