Vandalism, theft in city

Stanwood Police responded to the following calls last week.

• A tire was slashed Dec. 17 on a vehicle parked in the 7900 block of 272nd Street NW.

• An investigation continues after a vehicle parked in the 7900 block of 267th Street NW was damaged by someone scratching the paint with a sharp object Dec. 18.

• An investigation continues after unknown suspect(s) entered a residence Dec. 17 in the 27300 block of 83rd Avenue NW and stole several items.

• On Dec. 18, several items were reported stolen within the past few days from a school locker room in the 7400 block of 272nd Street NW.

• A 22-year-old Stanwood male is being referred for obstruction, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found Dec. 18 in the 26600 block of 72nd Avenue NW. He was also booked into jail on several warrants.

• A 15-year-old Stanwood girl was booked into Denny Youth Center Dec. 19 for domestic violence after she assaulted her father in the 8200 272nd Street NW.

• A 27-year-old Mountlake Terrace man was booked into jail Dec. 21 for domestic violence in the 8400 block of Henning Drive, after he assaulted his wife.

• A 37-year-old Camano Island woman is being referred for burglary and obtaining a prescription drug by fraud after she illegally entered a residence Dec. 21 in the 7200 block of 265th Street NW and obtained prescription medication.

• A GPS unit was stolen Dec. 21 from a vehicle parked in the 28500 block of 70th Drive NW.

• Two vehicles collided Dec. 21 in the 9300 block of 271st Street NW, after one driver stopped abruptly.

• A 38-year-old Stanwood woman was arrested on warrants Dec. 22 in the 7000 block of 280th St NW.

• A resident of the 7900 block of 272nd Street NW reported receiving harassing calls and texts Dec. 22.

• Police responded to a dispute Dec. 23 between mother and son in the 27600 block of 69th Avenue NW.

• A 65-year-old Texas woman passed away in her vehicle in the 27000 block of 92nd Avenue NW Dec. 23. Police were called to the location for a suspicious abandoned vehicle; detectives and the medical examiner were called to the scene.
