Boehme directs Linfield to Division III grid semifinals
Aaron Boehme, a foursport letter winner and graduate with the Stanwood High School class of 2006, led his Linfield College football team to the NCAA Division III semifinals this season with a stellar performance as their quarterback. Full Story
Knights out joust Spartan wrestlers
Senior 160-pounder Joe Eidsness was the only Spartan wrestler to produce a win on the mat Thursday evening against Kamiak.
Eidsness decisioned his opponent 8-4.
Stanwood’s 112-pound grappler Josh Tcheng received the benefit of a forfeit for six of the local club’s points in a 54-9 loss to the powerful Knights. Full Story
Sparts open WesCo hoop season with Seagull win and Viking loss
Finding Kale Schmidt was the key to last Tuesday’s victory over Everett’s Seagulls. Failing to locate him with regularity three nights later probably cost the Spartan boys’ basketball club (1-1 in league, 1-3 overall) a win on the home hardwoods. Full Story
