CAMERON BERG
JAN. 18, 1950 – NOV. 24, 2009
Cameron Carl Berg was born in Moline, Ill., Jan. 18, 1950. He left his life in Stanwood on Nov. 24 at age 59.
Cameron lived in Japan from 1952-56 while his parents Karl and Joan were Lutheran missionaries. The exotic locale of Japan sparked his curiosity of the world at an early age. Cam then lived near San Francisco, Calif., until moving with his family to Lakewood, Wash., in 1966.
After attending Lakes High School, he lived in Portland, Edmonds and Stanwood.
Cam found his first calling in the automobile sales world, achieving great success through his professionalism and affability. An untimely stroke changed everything, forcing him to slow down and reframe his life. This setback proved to be Cam’s second calling, allowing him to use his interpersonal skills to lead Bible studies and foster numerous spiritual bonds. Worship, prayer and daily meditation gave him the strength to endure.
Cam is survived by Gay Dowling, of Montesano, his mother Joan, of Federal Way, his brother Brian, sister-inlaw Joyce and nieces Elizabeth and Natalie of Saratoga, Calif., his niece Ingrid of Oakland, his cousin Bruce Larson of Bellevue and many other relatives.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Sat., Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m., at Josephine Sunset Home’s chapel, 9901 272nd Place NW, Stanwood.
