Keep Christmas alive
Merry Christmas should replace Happy holidays
Dear Editor:
Happy holidays — How can we really have such happiness when it is based on the fleeting things of this world?
This is a great greeting with which we all agree for family, friends and everyone, but since real joy comes from the Christ of Christmas, a more appropriate greeting is “Merry Christmas.”
So, to keep Christmas alive, let us respond to happy holidays with the kind and loving reply, Merry Christmas.
