SnoCo lewd law establishes rules for bikini coffee stands
According to a new Snohomish County ordinance, espresso stand baristas may wear revealing clothing such as pasties and thongs or even latex, and stands may display sexually suggestive signs.
They just have to be licensed as adult entertainment and operate in an adult entertainment zone.

Shoreline Master Program in initial stages within city
The initial public hearing on Stanwood’s new Shoreline Master Program was held at City Hall Wednesday.
Stanwood’s first program was adopted in 1977, five years after the public adopted Washington’s Shoreline Management Act. Amended in 1998, it outlines goals, policies and regulations and designations relating to the shorelines within the city limits. Full Story
Officer claims self-defense
Everett police officer Troy Meade pleaded not guilty to first-degree manslaughter charges and plans to claim self defense in the fatal shooting of Niles Meservey of Stanwood, according to court documents filed in Snohomish County Superior Court.
