Christmas celebration
 The Mabana Flames held a Dec. 3 Christmas party with the guests of honor being volunteer firemen and their wives of the Mabana Fire Station. Officers of the Flames, the auxiliary to the fire department, are president Carolyn Klein, vice president Vivian Meyers, secretary P.J. Kollars, and treasurer Nyla Bostwick. Firefighters are Batallion Chief Mike Waite, Matt Waite, Josh Wikstrom, Roger Harrington, Chris Olbu, Don Sweet, Victor Puente, and Bryce Fazekas. Each of the firemen recieved a Christmas card, a wreath, and a Christmas ornament that was made by one of Mabana Flames members. Wreaths were handmade by the fire auxiliary members, in one of their many fund-raising activities. This year, they sold 101 wreaths, raising $1,515 for the Mabana Fire Station.
