Girls’ b-ball, wrestling and boys’ swim team begin 2009-10 season
The Lady Spartan hoop squad will open their season against Burlington- Edison tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 1. The game will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. at the SHS gymnasium. The team will not play again until they entertain the Everett Seagulls here next Wednesday, Dec. 9. Full Story
Spartans lose to Prep in a foul fest
The Panthers of Seattle Prep proved to be poor hosts as they held off a late Stanwood Spartan (0-1 overall) rally to emerge with a 75-67 victory in the initial boys’ basketball game of the 2009- 10 season. Full Story
Amundson finishes third season as Viking volleyball player
Megan Amundson, Stanwood High School 2007 graduate, just completed her third season as a member of the Western Washington University volleyball squad.
A 5-foot-11 outside hitter for the Vikings, Amundson earned many honors as a senior at Stanwood High including first team, class 4A all-state selection and Skagit Valley Herald Female Athlete of the Year. Full Story
