Christmas brunch set for Country Club
Camano Country Club will be holding a Christmas brunch Dec. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. Virginia ham, Florentine potatoes, holiday salad, baked apple French toast, pumpkin and Quaker Bonnet biscuits and blueberry buckle will be on the menu. There will be a cost and entertainment will be provided by Josephine Gilchrist’s music students. Deadline to sign up is Dec. 1. Call 387-5030, 387- 1442, or 387-1655 for reservations. Fire Sirens to have gift exchange
The Madrona Fire Sirens are hosting their noon Christmas luncheon Wed.,, Dec. 2, at the Madrona Fire station, 916 W. Fifth Avenue (at Tarragon). Bring a donation to the Stanwood Food Bank, and an exchange gift of no more than five dollars.
Christmas wreath sale benefits firefighters
Order Christmas wreaths made by the Mabana Flames, and ask the cost, by calling Pat Van Almkerk, 387-9630. All funds will go to support the volunteer fire fighters at the Mabana Station. Wreaths may be picked up Mon., Nov. 30, noon to 3 p.m., or on Tues., Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. “Your support is appreciated,” said a spokeswoman.

Salmon donated to food bank
For every $100 that is spent by a customer at Brindle’s Marketplace Nov. 25 – Dec. 31, an Alaska wild caught Sockeye salmon filet will be donated to the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank for holiday dinners. Brindles Marketplace is at Terry’s Corner, 848 S unrise Blvd., phone 360-572-4577.
FOCIP workers at state parks, Dry Lake
Friends of Camano Island Parks volunteers will be hosting a work party next week at the state parks and the Dry Lake Project. Meet Tues., Dec. 1, 9:30 a.m. at the Camano Island State Park ranger station. Bring lunch; beverage and dessert provided. Holiday home tour includes five homes
Camano Island Democrats will host its annual holiday home tour Sat., Dec. 5, 1:30 to 5 p.m. The tour includes five Island homes. Tickets include the tour and party following the event at Odd Fellows Hall, 96 S. Camano Ridge Rd with live music, hors d’eouvres and a live auction.
