The John and Donna Watson home was built on a cliff overlooking the water in 2001. Donna is a well-known artist on the island and her appreciation for the Japanese aesthetic of subdued colors and natural objects is everywhere in their home. Both John and Donna have created a lovely yard and garden which was on the June garden tour. The John and Donna Watson home was built on a cliff overlooking the water in 2001. Island County Commissioner John Dean and Stanwood-Camano School District Director Julie Dean’s two-level brick glass, tile and metal house is reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright design. Elegantly positioned on a knoll surrounded by two rolling acres of lawn and forest, one feels a part of Camano’s natural beauty. Inside the house, a dramatic curbing oaktrimmed entry staircase is wrapped in glass.
