Colton suspected in area break-ins
Island County Sheriff’s
deputies on Camano Island
responded to the following
recently:
• Colton Harris-Moore suspected in two Nov. 3 break-ins on 2000 block Highland Drive. Both residences showed signs of forced entry.
• An 80-year-old female Talagwa Lane resident reported forced entry into her home and missing mint ice cream on Nov. 1.
• A 47-year-old woman reported forced entry and theft of electronics and jewelry from her residence on 400 block of West Camano Drive, Oct. 1.
• A 69-year-old man reported attempted forced entry into his home on 900 block of S. East Camano Drive, Nov. 5. No property reported missing.
• A 52-year-old woman reported theft of medications from her residence on 300 block of W. Monticello Road, Nov. 6.
• A 20-year-old man reported theft of personal property, including iPod and docking station, DVD player, snowboarding gear, motorcycle helmet, and music from his residence on N. Sunset Drive, Oct. 29.
• A 40-year-old woman reported fraudulent activity on her debit card, Oct. 30.
• A 56-year-old-woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from Camano Plaza, Oct. 31.
• The 48-year-old driver of a green 1972 Datsun pickup was stopped for traffic violations on SR 532 near Hanstad Road, Oct. 30. He was taken into custody in connection with DUI charges.
• A 40-year-old woman was stopped at the intersection of W. Cross Island Road and N. West Camano Drive, Nov 11, in relation to traffic violations. She was taken into custody in connection with DUI charges.
• A 26-year-old man was stopped at the intersection of E. Cross Island Road and N. East Camano Drive, Nov 6, in relation to traffic violations. He was taken into custody in connection with DUI charges.
• The 23-year-old driver of a Blue 2007 Chevy pickup was stopped at the intersection of Vanderlin Drive and W. North Camano Drive after failing to stop at a traffic sign, Nov 9. He was arrested in connection to driving with a suspended license, third degree.
• Officers responded Oct. 30 to a collision at 1335 SR 532. The vehicles involved were a red 2009 Ford pickup and a black 1996 Honda Accord. The male driver of the pickup was issued a citation for failure to yield.
