Colton Harris-Moore possible suspect in break-ins

By JEREMIAH O’HAGAN Staff Reporter

A self portrait by Colton Harris- Moore. A self portrait by Colton Harris- Moore. A rash of forced entries and thefts on Camano Island has put “Colton” back in residents’ minds.

The teen has acquired a fairly fantastic record during his drawn-out stint with the law, which includes one arrest and subsequent escape from a halfway home. Stealing cakes, small airplanes and everything in between, Colton Harris-Moore is drawing national attention.

Interest in Harris-Moore spiked again when he was suspected in connection with a shot fired at a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputy in Granite Falls.

Recent burglaries suggest he could be back in town.

Local sheriff deputies declined to comment, saying only that “whether it is or isn’t Colton, people are going to talk about it.”
