Colton Harris-Moore possible suspect in break-ins
A rash of forced entries and thefts on Camano Island has put “Colton” back in residents’ minds.
The teen has acquired a fairly fantastic record during his drawn-out stint with the law, which includes one arrest and subsequent escape from a halfway home. Stealing cakes, small airplanes and everything in between, Colton Harris-Moore is drawing national attention. Full Story

Island County Board of Commissioners agrees to use conservation funds
Island County Board of Commissioners approved the use of Conservation Futures Funds to purchase 3.18 acres of waterfront property off Henry Lane, Camano Island.
The board met Monday morning for their regular meeting, where they voted in favor of using conservation funds to pay for one of the last pieces of waterfront property on Camano. Full Story

Stanwood Middle School hosts 11th annual Grandparents’ Luncheon
