In an apparent scam attempt, a woman, claiming to be from the Stanwood/Camano NEWS is calling current subscribers offering a half-price subscription rate. Her gimmick involves telling victims that the current rate of $260 per year has been reduced to $129 for five days only. Full Story

Daniel (Fran) Francis Sullivan, beloved husband, father and grandfather, was born Oct. 12, 1927 in Duluth, Minn.
He died Oct. 31, 2009 in Kenmore after a long illness. His wife Neva was by his side.
Dan was influenced by music and it was his first career choice in Melrose, Minn. He believed in education earning two masters degrees and a PhD. Full Story

Ben Hills tragically died in a home fire in Seattle.
Ben was born in Mount Vernon, Wash. to Greg and Marianne Hills.
He was the third of three brothers, Seth and Danny, who loved him deeply.

George Daniel Treml, 71, died peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 5, 2009.
George was born Dec. 20, 1937 to George Joseph Treml and Elsie Marie (Nelson) Treml in Billings, MT.
The family resided in Fromberg, MT where George was active in 4-H, FFA, basketball and football. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad. Full Story
