After battling all season to gain respectability under first-year head coach Aaron Cupp and his hard-working staff, the Spartan football team (4-6) ran smack-dab into the state’s best eleven and suffered a stunning 61- 0 defeat to the No. 1-rated Bothell Cougars in the Class 4A district playoffs. Shootout ends Lady Spartan soccer season
By losing a 5-3 shootout at the conclusion of regulation and two overtime periods in the second round of the Northwest 4A District Soccer Tournament, the Lady Spartan soccer team (8-9-2 overall) saw its 2009 campaign come to an abrupt halt against the Kamiak Knights last Wednesday evening.
