Plants stolen from North Camano locations

Island County Sheriff’s deputies on Camano Island responded to the following recently:

• Six plants worth $150 were stolen from the 100 block of N. West Camano Drive Oct. 24. In addition, an area of the property appeared damaged. The next day, one plant worth $70 was stolen from a resident on Utsalady Road in what appeared to be a related incident.

• A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license Oct. 22. His red Jeep Cherokee struck a white Honda Civic at East Cross Island Road and N. East Camano Drive. The two occupants of the Honda Civic were uninjured.

• A 44-year-old man was arrested in connection with driving with a suspended license, third degree and recreational fishing violations, second degree Oct. 22. He was held on a bail of $1,750.

• Deputies stopped a red Mazda pickup that was driving erratically on SR 532 and 52nd Ave N.W. in Stanwood Oct 25. The 29-yearold male driver was cited in connection with driving with a suspended license, first degree. A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with outstanding warrants and transported to Snohomish County Jail in Everett.
