Ironwing can’t fly
By JEREMIAH O’HAGAN Staff Reporter
Harley Davidson Ironwing of Camano Island, the only known accomplice of Colton Harris-Moore, has been arrested.
Again.
Sgt. Robert Goetz, of the Everett Police Department, said Ironwing’s third go-around with the law was “pretty simple.”
“He was arrested for shoplifting and put in jail,” he said. “He was cooperative with the folks at Zumiez and law enforcement.”
Ironwing first turned himself over to police February 2007. He was arrested again March 2008, suspected of stealing from a church safe in Stanwood, and sentenced to 33 weeks in prison.
Ironwing, who had gained work release privileges, went to a job interview Oct. 20 and never returned. Six days later, he was picked up at the Everett Mall and booked into Snohomish County Jail on shoplifting charges.
Sgt. Goetz reported there was no indication of further involvement with Colton Harris Moore.
