Silver anniversary
 John and Kathie Dolton (Sherk) of Mount Vernon celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Oct. 5. They were married in Marysville in 1984 and lived in the Stanwood area for most of their marriage. They met through John’s neice, who was Kathie’s best friend, and quickly fell in love. Their daughter Jessika resides in Bellingham with her husband and their three boys. John was the owner of Stanwood Camano Interiors for many years, and Kathie worked for Employment Security in Everett. They both are currently retired, and enjoy camping, fishing and traveling in their RV. They will be celebrating this milestone in the near future with a trip to the Caribbean.
