Charges filed in Stanwood man’s death
The Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against an Everett Police officer last week in the death of Niles Meservey, of Stanwood.
The officer, Troy Meade, has been charged in connection with first-degree manslaughter, a felony. Full Story

Pauline Dolores Popplewell Carlson, daughter of Pauline and Alfred Popplewell, peacefully passed away on Oct. 14, 2009.
She was predeceased by her husband Elliot and sister Virginia.
Dolores was born on May 4, 1923 in Sacramento, Calif. or, as one newspaper of that fortuitous day says, the 7th of May. Full Story

John Wrska of Stanwood passed away during the night Mon., Oct. 26 from circulatory complications at the age of 90.
He was born in Chicago in 1919.
He met his future bride living in the same apartment building near Wrigley Field. Full Story
Marilyn Laverne Kendall
Marilyn passed away quietly at her home on Camano Island, Wash. after an extended illness. Marilyn was wife to John W. Kendall, who preceded her in death earlier this year, for 58 years.
Their son, James M. Kendall, preceded them in death in 2007. Full Story
