“SALLY” CLAUDIA O. HERBINAUX

OCT. 13, 1913 – OCT. 2009

Claudia O. (“Sally”) Herbinaux was born Oct. 30, 1913 near Olympia and died July 5, 2009.

Being a country girl, she had to adjust to Seattle in her school and early-married years. Then she and her family arrived in Stanwood during the January ‘47 snowstorm and spent the next 15 years caring for her husband and raising her children, James and Susan, in Stanwood’s wonderful caring and supportive community. She went to Mount Vernon Junior College and obtained her practical nursing license, and was employed in nearby communities. Then she moved to her home in Seattle and later to the Norse Home. She enjoyed visits from her son, daughter, and grandchildren in recent years, keeping up with their lives, while cheerfully enduring her lung condition.

Early July, 2009, she told a nurse that her husband had come and they were going to take a journey together.

Mother, you have blessed us with your prayers, your presence, and your love. We gladly release you to the Lord. Thank you for all you gave us. With love from James Herbinaux and Susan DeBeeson and all the family.
