BEVERLY MARGARET O’BRIEN
May 23, 1927 - October 17, 2009
Our loving mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 17, 2009 at Warm Beach Senior Community, Stanwood.
Beverly was surrounded by loving family as she peacefully passed away.
Beverly was born in Granite Falls May 23, 1927.
She had bravely faced many health issues. Through it all she blessed everyone with her beautiful smile and gentle demeanor. She was known for her quick wit and extraordinary knowledge.
She graduated with honors from both Granite Falls High School and Simpson Bible College. Beverly became Danny O’Brien’s bride September 20, 1952 and they were married until his passing four years ago.
Both Bev and Danny worked passionately with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 35 years. They and their three children had the opportunity to live in over 20 different locations including Mexico, Peru, California and Virginia.
In her later years Bev was the bookkeeper for the family business, the former O’Brien Turkey House, in Arlington.
She was an active member of Rose Hill Presbyterian Church in Kirkland until her health issues prevented her attendance.
Already missing her deeply are her children and their spouses, Kerry and Rachel O’Brien of Marysville, Kirby and Jackie O’Brien of Duncanville, Texas and Kathleen “Kiki” and Tim Pearce of Stanwood, and her grandchildren, Darby, Kaitlin, Kelly, Reilly, Casey and Braxton.
A memorial services was held Oct. 24 at Warm Beach Senior Community, 20420 Marine Drive, Stanwood, with a private interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery next to the Little White Church on the Hill in Silvana.
