ALDO C. BOGNY
Aldo C. Bogny, was born Sept. 13, 1929 to John and Adelina Bogny, who preceded him in death. He was raised in Ballard. He married Lorna and they made their home in Seattle. He worked many years as a truck driver for Bill’s Towing. In his later years he worked in construction. He was a hard worker and loved working with his hands. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do physically as far as he was concerned up to the day he died. He loved helping people with his “fixing hands” and said they were his only gift, but he had so many more!
He was the beloved dad of John Bogny and Linda (Rob) Oppegaard, eight grandkids, Amy (Robert) Harvie, Sean (Prita)McKenna, David (Heather) Hamilton, Sarah Hamilton, Jon (Lynette) Oppegaard, Marji Oppegaard, and Jessica and Rachel Oppegaard, who all loved their grandpa Al. He also leaves five “little greats,” Hunter, Hailey, Kennedy, Roderick and Tyler, who will love him through our memories.
He lived a simple life (we call it “Island living”) on Camano Island, enjoying the many fruits of his labor, but most of all he loved his family and many friends he considered his extended family. He always had an open door and a pot of coffee.
Special thanks to Lana, “lil sis,” his many neighbors, friends and to all who showed their love to our dad. He will be missed.
The family sends a big hug to all he loved and who loved him.
“These tears are not for you but for me.”
I thank Jesus that because of Him we will see you again.
Until that day, we love you forever in our hearts.
A celebration of his life starts 1 p.m. Oct 30 in the Meadow Room at Four Springs House, 585 Lewis Lane, on Camano Island.
