City lowers permit fees
Site development permit fees for small projects in Stanwood city limits will no longer be quite so costly.

School board braces for possibly more cuts
The Stanwood-Camano School Board reviewed the financial report for August, the last of the fiscal year, last Tuesday.
Gary Platt, executive director of business services, noted a decline in enrollment late in the school year as an impact on revenue.
Having budgeted for 5,044 full-time students, the district ended the 2008-09 year with 5,009. Full Story
