Opinion

Letters or guest editorials do not necessarily reflect the opinion of Stanwood/Camano NEWS or its staff. The editor reserves the right to edit letters for length, frequency, libel, and taste. All letters must be signed and include a telephone number to permit checking of details. The phone number is for internal use only, not publication. Letters should be typed, if possible, and delivered to the NEWS office, mailed to P.O. Box 999, Stanwood, WA 98292, or e-mailed to newsroom@scnews.com before noon Friday prior to Tuesday’s publication. If typing is impossible, please print neatly and avoid cursive. Letter writers are allowed four letters per calendar year.

Vote yes for our libraries

Dear Editor:

Please join me in voting “yes” on Sno-Isle Libraries Proposition 1 next month.

For a small price, we can make sure that our libraries stay open, continue to have services and resources that help people during tough economic times, and connect children with books and reading.

Our communities need our libraries now more than ever.

Libraries are the essence of healthy, friendly communities.

E-mail your friends and let them know that libraries are important and need their support on Nov. 3.

Thank you for your support of one of our community’s most important resources.

P.S. Proposition 1 is on the back of some ballots, so don’t forget to turn your ballot over and vote yes.
