Pearce listens well and acts decisively

Dear Editor:

I am writing to encourage everyone to support Tim Pearce for Stanwood City Council.

I have known Tim for over 15 years, and I believe his qualities of intelligence, calmness, fairness and good character qualify him for a seat on the city council. I also believe his experience of six years of serving on the planning commission have prepared him as a very qualified candidate.

I have discussed many issues regarding the city with Tim, and I admire his ability to listen to another person’s viewpoint fairly and being decisive when it comes time to vote.

I also admire his ability as a “local” to balance how he cares so much about Stanwood’s heritage with a realistic view of the future, specifically regarding growth and development.

As a city employee, I see the city’s struggle to provide services.

I also care about what my adopted hometown is and becomes. So does Tim.

Please join with me in voting for Tim Pearce for city council.

Rob Buchanan
