Daytime burglaries at Lake Ketchum and Warm Beach
By ADAM STEWART Staff Reporter
Reports of burglaries in the outlying areas of Stanwood have been confirmed by Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Specific areas include Lake Ketchum, Warm Beach and Seven Lakes.
Most of the reported burglaries have occurred during the day when homeowners were away.
The sheriff’s office suggests removing or trimming landscaping that might screen a home from view of the neighbors, or that provide a place for burglars to hide.
Anyone with information about the burglaries is encouraged to contact the north precinct office at 425- 388-5200.
According to Rebecca Hover, public information officer for the sheriff’s office, residents should lock all doors and windows to their homes, unattached garages and outbuildings.
To report suspicious activity or vehicles in your community, call 911.
Residents are encouraged to form a neighborhood watch. For more information about the program, visit www.snoco. org, e-mail neighborhoodwatch@ snoco.org or call 425-388-7375.
