Merrick honored
 Gail Merrick graphic arts teacher at Stanwood High School, was nominated by several of her peers for the WAEA 2009 Secondary Art Educator of the Year Award and the directors of the Washington ART Education Association have selected her as the winner of this esteemed award. Merrick was selected from nominees statewide. The annual awards are WAEA’s way of recognizing outstanding professionalism, service, promotion and support of the visual arts by individual art educators in our state.
