MARY WELSH, a long time resident of the Stanwood and Arlington communities, is a contestant for Miss Washington USA, and would appreciate votes for Miss Photogenic on the misswashingtonusa.com site. Click on contestants, Vote for Miss Photogenic, and then on Mary’s picture. Mary, Miss King County, is a senior at Central Washington State College, and on the Dean’s List for academics. She will receive her degree for early childhood education and education K-12 this winter quarter. Volunteering many hours in classrooms and mentoring students, it is not surprising that she is the youth coordinator for the United Service Organization, and helps a local orthodontist distribute Halloween candy that he collects, to send to service men and women overseas..
