Mary Margaret Talbott, 83, passed away Sept. 27, 2009 in Stanwood. She was born to Harry and Agnes Hinton July 1, 1926 in Sedgwick, Kansas. Mary graduated from Sedgwick High School in 1944. She worked with her husband as owners of Stanwood Jewelry, but her most important work was as homemaker and mother. Full Story

Leo E. Wirth, 93, passed away on Sept. 22, 2009. Leo was born in Wisconsin July 6, 1916. He joined the Army in 1942 and fought battles at the Landing of Normandy, northern France and Rhineland. He was awarded The American Campaign Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, The Victory Medal and The Bronze Star Medal. Full Story

Lee E. Hardebeck passed away Sept. 28, 20o9 with his family by his side at Good Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Lee was a lifetime resident of Washington state, with most of his years spent in or near the Stanwood area. He and his wife Muriel, married in Oct. 1960 and resided here to raise their three children, Kevin, Wendy and Curtis. Full Story

Doris E. Peterson, 83, of East Stanwood, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. Doris was born Aug. 15, 1929 to Jack and Myrtle Sill. She was a lifetime resident of Stanwood. Doris was a member of the American Legion for 57 years. Full Story
